Fleetmo as controller
Operator & account data
Your sign-up details, staff accounts, and business info — we decide how this is processed to run Fleetmo.
Fleetmo as processor
Your renters' data
Collected by each rental operator (the controller); we store and process it only on their instructions.
What this covers
Fleetmo is the platform independent car rental operators use to take bookings and run co-signed vehicle inspections. This policy explains how personal data is handled on the platform under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 — both the data Fleetmo collects directly from operators and their teams, and the renter data we process on each operator's behalf.
What we process
- Renters — name, mobile number, email, address, and booking details. For self-drive rentals, a copy of your driver's license — sensitive personal information under RA 10173 — collected with your explicit consent to verify you may drive.
- Condition records — inspection photos, damage diagrams, and signatures captured at handoff and return, kept as co-signed evidence of the vehicle's condition.
- Operators & staff — name, email, business details, and account activity, collected directly by Fleetmo to provide, secure, and improve the service (Fleetmo is the controller of this data).
How it's protected
Every record is scoped to a single operator's account and visible only to their authorized staff. Data travels over encrypted connections; license images never appear on public pages. We keep personal data only as long as the rental relationship and the operator's legitimate record-keeping require.
Your rights
Under RA 10173 you may, at any time:
- ✓See what personal data is held about you
- ✓Have inaccurate data corrected
- ✓Ask for your personal data to be erased
- ✓Complain to the National Privacy Commission
Renters: requests about a booking go to the operator you booked with — their contact details are on their booking page; operators can erase your personal data from Fleetmo on request, keeping only anonymized booking records. Operators and staff: send requests about your account data directly to the Fleetmo team.
If something goes wrong
If a data breach poses a real risk to your rights, the affected operators, data subjects, and the National Privacy Commission will be notified within 72 hours of discovery, as the law requires.
